Examinations: Repetition regulations
Repetition regulations in the bachelor's degree programs
- Examinations of the Bachelor's degree programmes that have been assessed as "insufficient (5.0)" or are considered failed can be repeated at least once.
- Further repeat regulations are specified in the (subject-specific) regulations of the various degree programmes.
- You will be automatically registered by the Examinations Office for the repeat examination in the event of a fail.
- The first resit examination must be taken by the end of the semester following the failed examination at the latest and usually takes place during the examination dates of the following semester.
- If this resit deadline is missed, the entitlement to the examination expires, unless the student is not responsible for this (e.g. illness).
- In the case of an examination withdrawal due to a medical certificate, the next examination date is always in the examination period of the following semester.
