Examinations: Repetition regulations
Repetition regulations in the bachelor's degree programs
In the Faculty of Engineering’s bachelor’s degree programs, students have the opportunity to retake one module exam with the grade of ‘nicht ausreichend’ (5.0, fail) at least once. Further regulations are defined below for the different degree programs. The first retaken exam must be taken at the latest before the end of the semester following the failed exam and normally takes place during the examination period of the following semester. If this deadline is missed, the opportunity to retake an exam expires unless the student can claim valid mitigating circumstances (for example due to illness).
If a student cannot attend an exam due to illness, he or she will be registered for the next exam in the examination period of the following semester.
Regulations regarding retaken examinations by degree program
