Final certificates

I successfully passed my studies. Which documents will I receive?

You will receive the following documents:

  • Degree certificate: Contains the information of ECTS, final grade and the date of graduation.
  • Transcript of records: Contains a list of all modules that you passed successfully.
  • Diploma supplement: Contains detailed information about the study course.
  • Diploma: Contains your academic degree.

In which language will the documents be issued?

Final certificates for graduates of the study courses Computer Science and Microsystems Engineering will automatically be issued in English. The basic language for the certificates of the other study courses is German; an exception is the diploma supplement, which is always in English. If you want to receive your final documents in English, please contact the Examination Office before you finish your studies.

Do I have to apply for issuing my documents at the examinations office?

No, you don’t have to. When we enter your last grade into the system, the Examination Office automatically prints your final certificates. These have to be signed by the head of the Board of Examiners and the dean. This can take up to four weeks.

How will I be informed when I can pick up my documents?

The Examination Office sends you a mail when you can pick up your certificates. You can come into the examinations in person during the opening hours or you send us an address so that we can send you the documents via snail mail. It is also possible to send an authorized person to the Examination Office to pick up your documents. He/she has to bring the authorization and his/her ID-card.
