Quality Management

To guarantee the unity of research and teaching as outlined in our mission statement, our lecturers continuously strive to include the newest research results in their courses and to present them in a comprehensible way.

Each semester, the students have the opportunity to evaluate every course they have taken. The results will be communicated to the lecturer and to the Deans of Studies. The Study Commission will also receive a summary of the results, based on which they determine the annual course rankings. If a course gets a particularly bad evaluation, the Study Commission will contact the lecturer and discuss with him possible measures to improve the course.

Another tool we use to control the quality of our teaching is the graduation surveys. All students who pick up their degree certificates are asked to fill out a two-page questionnaire, which asks them to retrospectively evaluate their study period. These surveys are analyzed every year and the results are sent to the Deans of Studies.
