Freshers' information

Everything seems new during your first term of study. Many things are done differently at the University of Freiburg than at your home university. This is why we have gathered on this web page the most important information for new students.

Matriculation (or enrollment)

After you have received your letter of acceptance, in order to study at the University of Freiburg you must matriculate (enroll) at the Registration Office (Studierendensekretariat for German nationals) or the International Admissions and Services Office (for international students).

If you are a new student in the Bachelor's degree programs Embedded Systems Engineering or Microsystems Engineering, you can join the Fit4Ing program taking place on 5 and 6 October. For more information and registration, please go to Fit4Ing.

Pre-course in Mathematics

Also for new undergraduate students, the senior students organised in the Fachschaft (students representation) will offer a pre-course in mathematics, taking place from 9 - 12 October. For more information and registration, please click here.
