You are generally required to hold a bachelor’s and master’s degree from a German University.

Candidates with bachelor’s and master’s degrees from foreign universities must submit all relevant documents with a transcript of records when applying for acceptance as a PhD candidate.

To be accepted as a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Engineering, you must hold a university degree in one of the following fields:

a) Computer Science

b) Microsystems Engineering

c) A related natural science or engineering discipline

Before you begin your PhD

Before applying to a PhD research programme, you must first secure a supervisor.

The first step is therefore to contact one of the professors in the field where you intend to complete your doctorate. The professor must be willing to supervise you.

After securing aeln advisor, you can then apply to be accepted as a PhD candidate at the Faculty of Engineering.
