Full Professorship (W3) for Technologies of Energy Allocation

 

at the new Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering (INaTech), to be filled as soon as possible.

The new professorship is expected to focus on the transfer and allocation of electrical, thermal and material energy flow in complex networks. The main focus should be on technological problems in the context of renewable energies considering societal and economical aspects.

The professorship is expected to establish cooperations with the other core activities at the Faculty of Engineering and the planned University Center for Sustainability and Transformation. Collaborations with the Faculty of Environment and Natural Resources and with the local Fraunhofer Institutes are welcome. Furthermore the new professorship shall play an active role in planning and establishing the Department of Sustainable Systems Engineering.

Teaching by the professorship will contribute to the interfaculty Master of Science program Renewable Energy Engineering and Management and the planned curricula in the area of Sustainable Systems Engineering.

We are looking for an internationally recognized personality. Candidates should have considerable experience in networking, fund raising, in particular through industrial cooperation, and the willingness to participate in coordinated research programs.

 

This professorship is also suitable as a starting position for highly qualified early career researchers.

 

 

Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
